Lt Headtrip is a rapper, producer and head of indie hip-hop label, we are the karma kids (WATKK). Headtrip has overseen the creation of dozens of albums, booked and promoted events throughout NYC for local and national acts, and performed all over the United States, all while acting as head engineer of WATKK. The young artist first cut his teeth hosting open mic nights in his hometown of Kent, OH, which holds a historically anti-authoritarian posture. His middle school music teacher focused on music and video technology, affording young creatives the opportunity to learn editing software starting in sixth grade. By high school, he was recording, producing, designing and packaging his own projects.

Headtrip brought his DIY approach to New York at 18 and began working with his DJ and producer, Samurai Banana. Their group would eventually grow into the Karma Kids, adding the unique flavors of Googie, Gruff Lion, and Duncecap, who became notorious for their unrestrained live performances and distinct, inventive styles. Headtrip also ran a recording studio (Karma Kids Studios) in Astoria, NY 2011 - 2019.

A sought-after artist, and diligent project manager, Trip has booked and performed with underground legends such as Armand Hammer, Open Mike Eagle, Quelle Chris, Onry Osborn, Beans, and Mega Ran. He’s also shared the stage with international stars such as Biz Markie, Slick Rick, Ghostface Killah, and Action Bronson.
